So this is my first post in a while, I get busy and simple things slip my mind.,..
Notebook
I have the best luck ever (well I'm making a false acusation, but it sounds cool). My notebook died a feww months back and now I am in the process of buying a new one. And by die i mean suicide. The Video card decided to fry itself and in doing so took down the BIOS, kinda like it was an acomplsis. For a while it would boot to the Toshiba log (did i mention it was a Toshiba P10?) and then to GRUB and Windows would boot from there but the mouse clicks and keyboard wouldn't respond. When trying to boot Ubuntu it would go through the usplash but then just hang when about to start X11. Randomly the BIOS logo wouldn't come up and the screen would stay black then turn white and fade back and forth with random colours. Now it just does that. My HDD (Hard Disk Drive) is still in perfect working order and the DVD-RW drive still is perfect but the BIOS is toast and so the computer is rendered useless. Hence the getting a new one.
SSH
SSH is amazing, not only is it versatile but it also is built into Linux, Mac OS X, BSD and other variants of Unix. It has trhe ability to tunnel and its all encrypted. Very handy, no more here.
Lack of Linux
So with my computer out of commission I have been with out my daily Linux fix. It was ok for a little bit but after awhile it gets tough to stay without it. The first analogy I can think of is not masturbating for a while. The first few days are ok, you don't think much about it (well maybe thats just me), then after about 2 to a few days it starts creeping up on your mind.
I have access to it at work but I mostly use Windows XP and occasionally Vista *shivers*. I want my own computer so I can "make it my own" as Simon Cowell would say. I hope too get a new notebook soon.
Well, Thats all folk(s), maybe for in the new, well lets try for month(s).
